Leveraging Your Teaching and Broader Impact Work for Scholarship: A Practical Guide to Engineering Education Research
26/02/2026 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pmThis interactive workshop supports participants in transforming teaching and broader impact initiatives into publishable engineering education research. It introduces distinctions among evaluation, scholarly teaching, and research, and offers a practical framework for developing researchable questions, selecting appropriate methods, and designing feasible studies grounded in participants’ contexts.
The session also addresses ethics, IRB processes, dissemination strategies, and funding opportunities through the National Science Foundation (e.g., RIEF, IUSE, ECR:Core). Participants will leave with concrete tools to turn their instructional work into scholarly contributions.
